Historian Griffin Bates told the committee he will create an America 250 Commemoration Advisory Board to support planning for Steuben County’s participation in the national 250th commemorations and has submitted a proposed budget to New York State for approval.
Bates also requested authorization to pay an FY2025 invoice for historian luncheon catering in the amount of $1,475, saying this was the first historian luncheon in nearly 30 years and that funds exist in the budget to cover half the bill. The committee approved the invoice payment on a motion by Shannon Logsdon, seconded by Michael Volino; the motion carried 4‑0.
