The committee commenced the District 3 eight‑year review, which covers the towns of Bath, Bradford, Canisteo, Howard, Rathbone, Thurston, Urbana and Wayne. Marie Myers Shearing told the committee that the review period allows landowners to opt out of the agricultural district if they choose.
Chair Fitzpatrick asked whether a landowner in the district could install solar panels if they remain in the district. Myers Shearing stated they can install solar while staying in the agricultural district. The committee approved a motion to commence the review by voice vote (4‑0).
