The board reviewed and approved updated handbooks at the July 21 meeting. Board members worked through a draft of the board handbook during the meeting with Superintendent Colvard providing corrections; afterward the board approved the 2025–26 Staff Handbook on a motion by Mitch Engel with a second by Lisa Birney, and approved the 2025–26 Student/Family Handbook on the same motion and second. Colvard said the Student/Family Handbook was revised to add rules addressing plagiarism and misuse of AI technologies to support academic honesty.
Minutes do not list dissent on the handbook approvals; motions carried as recorded in the agenda’s action items.
