Allyson Henley, Director of the City–Cowley County Health Department, presented the department’s FY27 budget request of $280,500 at the April 23 work session, asking commissioners to continue existing support at the same funding level as FY26. Henley updated the board on outreach programs the department is conducting and thanked commissioners for continued backing.
Commissioners heard the request alongside other public-health and nonprofit presentations. The Health Department’s request is a flat funding ask; staff will include the figure in the formal FY27 budget for further consideration during budget hearings.
