County approves ARPA-funded field-mobile software and laptops for appraiser’s office

The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners authorized ARPA-funded technology purchases for the county appraiser on Dec. 16, approving a field mobile software contract for $15,870 and four Microsoft Pro devices costing $7,337.68.
County Appraiser Delinda White presented the contracts and said she expects the state to link ORCA parcel maps to the county’s map system; she is awaiting login credentials. Commissioner Cory Moates moved to approve the field mobile software purchase and the device purchase from Stronghold Data; Commissioner Lorie Johnson seconded and both motions passed unanimously.
The purchases are intended to support field data collection and mapping updates in the appraiser’s office; the Board directed that both purchases be paid from ARPA funds.
