At the Oct. 10 special session, Cherokee County commissioners voted to authorize Road and Bridge Office Manager Joni Hicks to sign the county's sewer-billing system contract. Commissioner Cory Moates moved the authorization; Commissioner Myra Frazier seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
County staff were present for the vote. The delegation is intended to allow the Road and Bridge office to finalize procurement documents and complete execution without returning to the commission for signature. Meeting minutes note a planned follow-up task to finalize and execute the contract by Oct. 31, 2024.
