Road and Bridge Supervisor Cody Zook told the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 2 that “the exact Dynapak paver that was quoted to the County will be in Carthage today or tomorrow if someone wanted to see it.” He said the unit's availability would allow county staff to inspect the machine before purchase.
Zook also raised a property concern affecting an alleyway, reporting that a bordering property owner is encroaching into county right-of-way and that staff will first ask that owner to relocate the encroachment before considering escalation. On staffing, Zook said he has distributed notices internally and intends to hire from within to fill the vacancy created by Bryan’s departure; the minutes record Bryan’s last day as in February to permit training of a replacement.
