At the June 9 meeting, HSPD staff presented the local housing inventory and program counts for 2024'026. The slides listed 487 emergency shelter (ES) beds, 1,436 permanent supportive housing (PSH) units, 422 rapid re-housing (RRH) slots and 93 transitional housing (TH) units for 2026; staff also cited a 97% retention rate for PSH clients in 2025.
Staff framed inventory and retention as evidence of the county's capacity and outcomes, and said the distribution of project types drives funding priorities in the CoC application process. Commissioners were provided a handout with FY2024 and FY2025 allocations for Dayton, Kettering and the Montgomery County CoC (OH-505) projects.
