Coalition expands prevention trainings and youth programs; meet-and-greets and summer safety planned

Steuben Prevention Coalition announced meet-and-greets May 10–16, a July summer safety program at the Corning Civic Center, a July drug-detection training for education professionals, and that five staff are trained in Teen Intervene with five trainers now available for 'Too Cool for Violence and Drugs' training.
Lauren Mault said the coalition is updating prevention-education materials on vaping and will hold two meet-and-greets the week of May 10–16 (one at the new Catholic Charities location in Corning, 21 West William Street, and one at the Dormann Library in Bath). Mault described a July summer safety program at the Corning Civic Center and a drug-detection training for education professionals at the Sheriff's office.
Caleb Cutler reported five staff trained on Teen Intervene and that five people can now deliver the 'Too Cool for Violence and Drugs' curriculum following recent training in Rochester. The coalition said a Youth Action Forum is planned for November.
