Josh Leacham, a technician introduced to the committee, described a field test: "last week after we, went out with the new equipment, we took, 10 1,075 shots in about 3 hours...and we had 10 cross sections done."
Members discussed training and ongoing software subscription options; the committee heard that the chosen CAD software was a one‑time purchase (about $3,500) versus higher cost subscriptions. The motion to provide the $20,000 contribution was seconded and carried by voice vote.
