Finance Director James L. Rod presented the FY25 third-quarter finance report to the board, saying general fund revenues are at roughly 93% of the year-to-date target and total general fund revenue reported as approximately $20,520,500 so far. He noted timing effects tied to property-tax receipts and highlighted that building permits were $30,000 over the budgeted amount, and that certain departments—data processing, HR, building & grounds and the sheriff’s office—were over or near budget for the quarter.
Rod explained some overages stemmed from reclassification of communications expenses and hurricane-related calls that increased IT costs; he also described a new financial software rollout and a double-payroll test in the new system. The board acknowledged the report and scheduled further budget hearings as part of FY26 planning.
