Planning staff had presented the item and noted the Planning Commission recommended temporary approval until Dec. 1, 2025, with music limited to 11 a.m.–3 p.m. During new business a commissioner explained the grounds for the denial: "I just have concerns about it being the appropriate use for that piece of property and safety concerns about traffic, entering the Big A Corridor there on Highway 17." The denial means no conditional use permit will be issued; the applicant may seek to address traffic and safety concerns before reapplying.
