Commissioner Jones moved and the board approved an intergovernmental agreement among the City of LaGrange, Troup County and the Troup County School System to transfer the deed for Callaway Stadium.
Commissioner Jones summarized the history and current use: the stadium dates to about 1958 and the school system has been the principal user in recent years. Jones moved to approve the agreement in substantial form and authorized the chairman to execute final documents; the motion was seconded and carried.
"This is something that I can say Troup County and the city of LaGrange came together in the school system to move forward in Callaway Stadium," Commissioner Jones said during his remarks.
