The Planning Commission approved a suite of actions for a 12.75-acre development known in the record as the '12 Kids Addition': rezoning from Agricultural (AG) to R2 (urban residential mixed density), approval of the preliminary and final plats, and annexation into the city. Craig Bennett of Miller Associates presented the proposal, which lays out 43 residential lots (44 counting an outlot for stormwater detention) and extends local streets and utilities, including water and sanitary sewer connections.
Staff reported the project is compatible with adjacent zoning and the 2016 comprehensive plan and that infrastructure feasibility studies show the lots can be served by city water and sanitary sewer. The public hearing recorded no in-person objections and the commission approved each action by roll call separately. The decisions will be forwarded to City Council for final approval and recording.
