Chief Deputy A.J. Pape and Jail Commander David Butler presented an agreement with Combined Public Communications LLC (CPC) to provide Apple tablets for inmates at the Allen County Jail. Presenters said CPC's tablets and experience with county jail requirements make it a preferable vendor to the previous supplier, ViaPath, and that the tablets are inmates' primary route to family and legal contacts and for research.
Commissioner Ronald W. Turpin moved approval of the agreement; Commissioner Therese M. Brown seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The minutes record the contract approval as part of the regular session business.
