Troup County mental-health and DUI/drug courts seek FY27 operating dollars

Jasmine Johnson told the board she was requesting acceptance of the FY'27 CACJ operating grant award for the county's mental health court and that the award would support personnel, treatment services, surveillance, drug testing and training.
"The FY '27 grant award is $215,610 with the required local match of $38,049," Johnson said, and added the county also received a $20,000 donation from the city of LaGrange for the mental health program. She said the match would be provided through county funds.
On a related item, Johnson requested acceptance of the DUI court operating grant, reporting total funding of $159,063 with a required match of $28,070 to support personnel and monitoring services. Staff said both items would be taken up by the board at the evening meeting for formal action.
