Troup County accountability courts awarded FY27 operating grants, board asked to accept awards

Hill Daniel, speaking for the county's accountability courts, asked the board to accept FY'27 operating grant awards on behalf of Family Treatment Court and Felony Drug Court.
"The family treatment court applied and was awarded 212,240 $212,248, which carries a $37,456 match," Hill Daniel said, describing budget items that include personnel, treatment, home checks, surveillance, drug testing and travel. He then told the board the felony drug court received $247,903 with a $43,748 match and that a separate $30,000 transportation award would be shared among the county's four accountability courts.
Hill told commissioners the matching funds will come from county funds. The board heard the requests during the work session and the County Manager said the items would be scheduled for action at the regular evening meeting.
