The commission recessed into a 20‑minute executive session under the attorney‑client exception to the Kansas Open Meetings Act to discuss solar project documents. Attendees named for the session included Commissioners Neal Younger, Nathan Leiker and Michael Berges, County Counselor Bill Jeter, Trish Voth and County Administrator Darin Myers. The open session resumed with no action taken immediately after the executive session.
Following the session, Commissioner Michael Berges moved and Commissioner Nathan Leiker seconded a motion authorizing the County Administrator to sign an amended agreement for reimbursement of fees related to the project; the motion passed by voice vote 3–0. Later in the meeting the board recessed again for a 10‑minute executive session to discuss contract negotiations under the same attorney‑client exception; the session included the three commissioners, County Counselor Bill Jeter and County Administrator Darin Myers. The open session resumed at 9:51 a.m. with no further action recorded in the minutes.
The minutes show the authorization to sign an amended agreement but do not include the agreement’s text, the counterparty name or fiscal amounts; those details will require follow-up with County Counselor or the County Administrator.
