Board confirms interdistrict transfers, coach appointments and volunteers
Summary
Following a closed session, trustees approved designated interdistrict transfers, appointed head and volunteer coaches for spring and fall seasons and approved music and agriculture volunteers for 2025–26.
After a closed session Feb. 12, the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees reported out several personnel actions.
Trustee Mike Serpa moved and Trustee Brent Lunde seconded to approve or deny interdistrict transfers as designated by the superintendent; the motion carried 4–0 (M147-2526). The board approved athletic appointments: Mike Manley as Head JV Swim Coach for 2026–27 and volunteer coaches Will Williams and Lorne Rogers for Boys Tennis in Spring 2026 (M148-2526). The board also approved music department volunteers (Kevin Hice, Robin Hice, Amanda Horiuchi, Mari Jordan, Lynne Sites and Samantha Valenzuela) and an agriculture department volunteer, Sarah Patterson (M149-2526, M150-2526).
These actions were reported out of closed session and recorded in the meeting minutes; the motions carried by recorded vote with Trustee Thomsen absent.
