Kingsburg honors senior athlete Emilio Ayala and shows upgrades to field and shotput area

Athletic Director Scott Hodes introduced senior athlete Emilio Ayala at the Feb. 12 board meeting and presented a video of recent facilities work near the football stadium.
Hodes said Ayala "has been instrumental in the success of the KHS Football Team as well as the Wrestling Team, who won the Section Championship," and highlighted a clip showing work done by Don Berry Construction, Scott Hodges and students on a new shotput area, improved walkways, a scoreboard upgrade and reconfiguration to accommodate an additional practice field. The athletic report also noted an instance of sportsmanship at a recent Kingsburg–Selma basketball game when Team Manager Noah Campos suited up and Selma player Sonny Rivera helped guide him to a buzzer-ending basket.
Board members praised the maintenance crew and the athletic staff for their work; no motions were required for the presentation, which the board received as informational.
