The Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees approved the Section 504 Guidelines & Resources Handbook at the Feb. 12 meeting.
Trustee Mike Serpa moved to approve the handbook and Trustee Rick Jackson seconded; the motion carried 4–0 with Trustee Johnie Thomsen absent (M145-2526). The handbook was presented as supporting document 9.9 and is intended to outline procedures and resources for students eligible under Section 504.
Special Education Department Head Elizabeth VanderVelde presented department staffing, enrollment and program information earlier in the meeting; the handbook approval follows that departmental overview and is intended to operationalize district compliance with 504 accommodations and resources.
