Extension Program Coordinator Stephanie Maike introduced K-State Research & Extension summer interns Karli Meseke and Kylie Rogers, who will complete orientation in Hutchinson before providing summer programming for youth across Wabaunsee County. "The interns will complete an orientation in Hutchinson and then spend the remainder of their 12-week stay providing summer programming for youth across Wabaunsee County," Maike said.
The interns are paid through a grant from K-State. Commissioners received the introduction as an informational item; no formal action or funding change was recorded during the meeting. The presentation signals the county's summer outreach plans and the use of grant funding to support temporary program staff.
