Calumet County Board holds organizational meeting, adopts rules and elects leadership

The Calumet County Board met on April 21, 2026 for its organizational meeting. County Clerk Beth Leary read the Certificate of Membership and administered the Oath of Office to newly seated supervisors. Todd Romenesko, the County Administrator, reviewed the proposed Rules of the County Board during the morning session.
The board adopted amended Rules of the County Board (Resolution 2026-01) after a series of amendment motions, elected Supervisor Connors as Chair by secret ballot, named Supervisor Budde Vice-Chair and Supervisor Schwalenberg 2nd Vice-Chair, approved committee assignments, and set the next regular meeting for May 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Several resolutions and an ordinance were also adopted, and a Medical Examiner policy was approved.
