Staff presented the amendment and recommended approval, saying the changes align the budget with year‑to‑date activity.
"This resolution increases the overall budget by just under $2,400,000," said the staff presenter, who explained that most adjustments were not known when the original budget was adopted and that the water and sewer fund is the primary exception because of repair needs. Council members asked clarifying questions and had no further objections before voting.
The resolution includes a detailed Exhibit A showing sources and proposed uses of the increased funds, and staff said the adjustments often reflect items discussed previously by the council. Council approved the resolution by voice vote, 5‑0. The town clerk will include the amendment documentation in the official record and staff will post Exhibit A as part of the budget file.
