The Cass County Commission approved a group of zoning applications and plats at the June 3 meeting, voting 3-0 on each item. Applications approved included 3189 (lot split and rezoning at 19015 South School Road, Raymore), 3190 (Meyer Subdivision, ~30.8 acres), 3191 (lot split near S Arrow Drive & E 235th Street), 3192 (Prairie Ridge Acres final plat), 3193 (Prairie Ridge Acres 2), 3194 (lot split and rezoning near 19505 South Bafferty Road), 3195 (lot split near S Route T & E 323rd Street, Garden City) and 3196 (minor subdivision at 12410 E 211th Street, Peculiar).
Valerie, the county planner, summarized each staff report and noted planning-board recommendations. For multiple applications she reported the planning board recommended approval 5-0; for 3190 she said six people attended the planning-board public meeting to raise concerns about tree removal, driveway locations, bats and wastewater. For application 3194 a single person asked whether an existing fence would be removed; the applicant addressed that question. Each item was opened for public comment at the commission meeting and closed with no speakers present. The commission approved each application by voice vote, 3-0.
These approvals advance several proposed subdivisions and lot splits in Cass County; the commission did not record changes to bonding, mitigation, or specific permit conditions at the meeting.
