Commission approves access agreement for hazardous-material survey at former Milford Hospital

The commission reviewed an access agreement with Terracon to perform a hazardous-material survey inside the former Milford Hospital. Minutes state the survey is "for a survey for Hazardous Material for the interior on the Old Milford Hospital surveying asbestos in the building." Commissioner Pearson moved to authorize signature on the agreement; Commissioner Yardley seconded and the vote was unanimous.
The action permits Terracon to access the site to investigate potential asbestos and other hazardous materials. Facilities staff are responsible for coordinating access and receiving the survey report, which will inform any remediation or disposition work on the property.
