The Camptonville Elementary School Board on Jan. 12 voted to fill a vacant seat, appointing Annie McNair after a motion by Board Clerk Karen Barnett and a second from Board Member Shonti Burke.
The motion passed with three aye votes — Karen Barnett, Shonti Burke and Amanda Hines — and no recorded nays; Board President Reid Pearcy was absent. Following the vote, McNair took the oath of office during the same meeting.
The appointment was recorded in the minutes as an official board action; the board set routine agenda items for the next meeting, including additional policy review and the LCAP update.
