JEMS reports lower call volume, billing timing error to reduce June income

Gary Barnett and Kyle Gerlach, JEMS shift supervisors, updated the commissioners on call activity and finances. Barnett summarized May operations and said, “There were 190 total runs in May with 165 from 911, 6 emergent transfers, 14 non- emergent transfers and 61 refusals.” He added that the numbers are down, which is reflected in revenue, and that June income would also be lower because of a timing error with the billing company.
Commissioners acknowledged the update and accepted the report. No formal action or funding change was taken at the meeting; staff will continue to monitor runs and billing reconciliation.
