Authority publishes connection and tap fees; increase for developments using public sewer pumping stations

The Patrick County Public Service Authority's Schedule of Availability, Connection & Tap Fees sets connection and tap charges by meter size and includes multiple notes affecting developers and third-party constructions. For example, a 5/8" or 3/4" meter is shown with a current connection charge of $1,200 (equivalent residential unit 1.00) and a current tap charge of $2,550. The schedule states meters larger than 4" are charged at contract rate and that for developments constructed utilizing publicly owned sewer pumping stations, the connection fee will increase by $1,000 per residential connection.

Additional notes specify that meters up to 5/8" and 3/4" constructed by others will be billed at $195 each and larger meters billed at cost plus 10%; tap fees may be increased to cover pavement restoration or road-crossing costs and extension fees may apply for offsite projects, as determined by the Authority's Executive Director. These charges are labeled preliminary with a proposed effective date of July 1, 2026.
