RLACF offers potential workforce housing units; board given first-right consideration

During committee updates Superintendent Alex Ator told trustees there is "the possibility of three more housing units being available within a year" through the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation (RLACF). RLACF representative Angela Getchell outlined that one of the units could be a "build to buy" and said the foundation needs an answer in July about whether the district will exercise first rights.
Trustee Debbie Hill asked what commitment would be required; Getchell said the first right of refusal for each unit would be about $300 (possibly higher). Trustee Nick Dobbel and Trustee Debbie Hill agreed to meet with the Roberts Community Foundation to explore assistance. The RLACF also noted Phase 2 could include a "self-build" opportunity involving local Vo-Ag students.
