Roberts School Board approves minutes, warrants and year-end expenditures

Vice Chair Brad Norman called the Roberts School District No. 5 Board of Trustees to order at 6:00 p.m. on June 18, 2025. Trustees unanimously approved the May 21, 2025 regular and reorganization meeting minutes and warrants 51165–51352, direct deposit 225 and activity check 9327.
Superintendent Alex Ator told trustees the General Fund had a remaining balance of $117,577 and presented a packet of recommended year-end uses. Ator said keeping the district’s accounting software would "save about $15,000, enough to give the staff a year-end bonus and pay a year's worth of First Right of Refusal with RLACF." After questions about vendor pricing for the gym floor and other line items, Trustee Michael Bissonnette moved and Trustee Joel Bertolino seconded approval of the year-end expenditures with changes discussed; the motion carried unanimously (YES: Nick Dobbel, Brad Norman, Joel Bertolino, Michael Bissonnette, Debbie Hill).
Board discussion referenced specific line items in the distributed spreadsheet, including leave buyouts and vendor invoices, and trustees asked staff to finalize invoices before the next meeting.
