Historic Preservation commission to reapply for Paul Bruhn revitalization grant

Paul Larson, chairman of the Van Buren County Historic Preservation Commission, and Paula Mohr updated the Board of Supervisors on the county's Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant effort. Larson said the county's 2023 application was not selected for funding but a new application window opens with submissions due by August 21, 2025.
Ashley Utt, executive director for Pathfinders RC&D, drafted the initial application in 2023 and has offered to revise and resubmit the proposal at no additional cost to Van Buren County. Following the presentation and discussion, the board reached a consensus to move forward with a second application.
