Melissa, city staff, summarized the staff findings: the proposed rezoning is "compatible with the FLU designation and purpose," the lots have remained vacant since being platted in 1998, and they "meet the minimum lot width and lot size requirements for the R-1D zoning district." Staff noted the surrounding area is single-family and that adjacent owners might oppose the change but did not provide a formal recommendation beyond those findings.
Chair moved to approve rezoning number 2026-14 based on the city's findings; after a roll-call vote the motion carried. The public hearing for the item produced no comments. The applicant thanked the commission after the vote.
