EDA defers FY2027 budget adoption while awaiting county decisions on revenue sharing and COLA

Executive Director Trenton Funkhouser presented the EDA's proposed fiscal year 2026–27 budget and noted a 2% cost-of-living adjustment under consideration by the Board of Supervisors. Mr. Funkhouser said he had not yet spoken with county staff about business license fee revenue-sharing options and planned to do so after the county's budget adoption.
Chairman John Anzivino recommended deferring final budget approval to the next meeting so that pending changes and county decisions could be incorporated. No formal budget adoption took place at the May 11 meeting; the draft remains under consideration pending additional information from the Board of Supervisors.
