Chief Lockridge (S4) and City Administrator Wagner (S9) recognized internal personnel changes in the police department, including the promotion of an acting sergeant and the swearing-in of a newly hired officer.
Lockridge described the sergeant role — leadership, training, operational support and communication — and read words staff had used to describe the promoted officer, including “trustworthy,” “conscientious,” and “reliable.” He then pinned the sergeant’s badge and made the promotion official.
Wagner also introduced a newly sworn officer, noting prior service with Johnson County and the department’s staffing upgrades. The council congratulated the employees and thanked department staff for their work.
