Lauren Marino of Suffield Community Aid told the commission that “90 spring/Easter baskets were given to families,” and thanked volunteers for assembling the items. She said food pantry usage is trending up and rental rebates will continue to the fall, while camperships have increased in value to help children attend summer camp.
Marino credited volunteers (Ms. Salerno and team) for the basket distribution and noted registration and program information is available through Suffield Community Aid channels. The report reflected rising demand for food assistance as seasonal programs ramp up into summer.
