Susanne White reported at the Feb. 19 meeting that an Economic Development Committee survey drew 180 responses and showed strong support for a proposed Community Center and concerns about downtown parking.
White said the survey results were “very optimistic” and noted that respondents valued the town’s rural character and natural beauty. She suggested the board put out a sign-up sheet at Town Meeting to recruit volunteers for a proposed trails committee. Member Steve Livingston said the town’s strong snowmobile club and existing trails could be adapted for year-round, multiuse purposes.
The discussion framed community preferences for downtown renovation and parking as linked to broader EDC priorities rather than as formal Planning Board actions; the minutes record no vote or binding direction.
