Criminal Justice Center reports 144 inmates, 45 rented beds; facility short one deputy

Lieutenant Shannon Taylor reported the Mini‑Cassia Criminal Justice Center population at 144, with 61 inmates from Cassia County, 37 from Minidoka County, one held for ICE, 39 for IDOC, five for U.S. Marshals and one courtesy placement. He stated the center has 45 rented beds.
Taylor also said the center is down one deputy and that three deputies are at POST and expected to remain in training for about four more weeks. The staffing shortage was noted in the committee’s reports of activity on May 12.
