Tonkawa declares pad-mount transformer surplus, seeks sealed bids

The Tonkawa Municipal Authority voted Oct. 21 to declare a 12470Y 750 kVA 120/240 3‑phase pad‑mount transformer (serial number 211008‑16) as surplus and to advertise for sealed bids to be accepted and opened at a later date. Public Works Director Cory Strong told the board the city had no further use for the transformer and that several people had expressed interest in it.
Trustee Kenneth Smith moved to surplus the transformer and accept sealed bids; Trustee Charles Conaghan seconded and the motion carried with recorded ayes from Trustees Harris, Conaghan, Burns and Smith and Trustee Simpson absent. The board did not specify a bid opening date in the meeting record.
