Commission agrees to use up to $100,000 in TRT funds to finish Skutumpah, Johnson Canyon and Mountain View road work

Legal counsel Jeff Stott advised the commission that the Rollback Tax fund could be used for such purchases if a finding was made that they preserve agricultural lands, but the commission chose instead to use Transient Room Tax (TRT) funds to cover the costs so the Rollback Tax fund could grow for larger projects like conservation easements.
Commissioner Gwen Brown moved to use up to $100,000 from TRT funds to fund the completion of the Skutumpah/Johnson Canyon and Mountain View Road projects. The motion carried unanimously.
