Commissioners adopt ordinance vacating two utility easements in Elk Ridge Estates

The Kane County Board of Commissioners voted May 26 to adopt Ordinance O2026-14 vacating two seven-and-a-half-foot public utility easements in Elk Ridge Estates Unit 4 Phase 6 (amended Lots 43 and 44). Shannon McBride told the board the request was a standard procedure for combining lots and said all required termination agreements had been obtained.
Commissioner Celeste Meyeres moved to adopt the ordinance; the motion carried with Chair Gwen Brown, Commissioner Patty Kubeja and Commissioner Meyeres voting in favor. No public comments were received during the hearing. The ordinance will be recorded consistent with county procedures for easement vacations.
