GLS says it will run criminal, licensure and education checks on finalists

"We run national criminal background. We run a state licensure check. Are they certified to be a superintendent in Oregon or not? We back up their education," Trent said, adding GLS would deliver the reports to the board and flag any potential issues before finalists are presented. The board asked who performs references and background checks; Trent and the GLS team said they handle finalist vetting and will turn findings over to the district.
