Kenyon-Wanamingo board votes to enter closed session to review offers on Wanamingo Elementary

The chair moved to close the meeting "to discuss any offers the board has received on the 225 3rd Avenue South Wanamingo building pursuant to Minnesota statute 13D.05 subdivision 3." The motion was seconded and a roll-call vote was taken: board members recorded "Aye" responses for Tanya Craig, AJ Lindell, Deb Pekan, Erica Aronson, Marilyn Severson, James Jarvis and Madeline Lurkin. Following the roll call, the chair announced the public portion was closed at 08:41 a.m. and asked members of the public to step outside while the closed portion proceeded.
The board invoked Minnesota statutes that permit closed discussion of real-estate offers and recorded the motion maker and second. No sale price, contract terms or final disposition of offers were disclosed in the public portion of the meeting.
