Clerk recommends Tom's Moving again for voting-machine transport

Daviess County Clerk Lauren Milton told the County Commissioners on March 24 that the county's voting machines became too large to be handled by staff in 2024 and that the Clerk's Office has since engaged a moving company to transport them. "The voting machines used to be small enough for her to be able to carry but in 2024 they had to hire a company to move them due to becoming bigger and heavier," Milton said during the meeting.
Milton recommended using Tom's Moving Service again for this year's transports. The board approved Tom's Moving invoice as presented; the motion was made by TC Cook and seconded by Michael Keith and passed unanimously. No dollar amount for the invoice was included in the publicly posted meeting excerpt.
