ECS expects county highway radio/AVL service restored within weeks; license agreement with Skyway Towers planned

ECS reported it expects full service restoration for the highway department radio/AVL system within about three weeks and said it will send a license agreement for Skyway Towers LLC property to host a repeater and antenna.
Michael Dyer of Electronic Communication Systems, Inc. (ECS) told the commissioners that after ECS assumed radio services the county highway radio/AVL system had been affected and that ECS expects to restore full service for the highway department within roughly three weeks.
"He expected to have service for the Hwy Dept restored to full capacity within 3 weeks," the board was told. Dyer also said ECS needs a license agreement between Daviess County and Skyway Towers LLC to install a repeater, power supply and antenna on Skyway Towers property adjacent to county highway land. He said he would forward the proposed agreement to county highway staff and the county attorney for review and then to the commissioners.
Commissioners did not take a separate vote on the license at this meeting; staff will forward the draft agreement for legal review and bring it back to the board as needed.
