The Milbank City Council approved its consent agenda on Dec. 8, which included personnel items: two Unity building and ice-rink attendants (Josh Pederson and Emmett Hanson) at $14.85/hour, and Ethan Mieltz as a full-time wastewater technician at $22.80/hour. The consent agenda also authorized transfer of the remaining Housing Opportunity Fund balance of $34,000 to the Grant County Development Corporation (GCDC) and included Amendment #1 for additional engineering services on the 7th Ave Reconstruction Project for $15,000.
The claims list presented as part of the consent agenda totaled $664,903.78; large items included LL & Sons Excavating Inc. ($342,548.90) and Bituminous Paving, Inc. ($28,592.20). Park & Recreation Director Boyd VanVooren presented a recognition for fitness instructor Judy Frink; Frink said she was "truly excited to be part of such an exceptional fitness program" and expressed gratitude for the certificate of appreciation.
