The board approved seven extended field-trip requests together, including the 6th-grade Eagle Bluff trip, FFA state and national conventions, the FCCLA conference, robotics regional competition, the Band Choir Chicago tour, and the Dorian Choir Festival. Trustees voted to approve the package of trips in one motion and the motion passed 5 to 0.
Board also approved a set of student activity fundraisers (robotics Halloween carnival; plant and fruit sales; choir popcorn sales; band silent auction, car wash and benefit dinner; bagging at Cub) in a single motion that recorded a unanimous vote. On donations, the board adopted a resolution accepting several contributions: $100 for the football program from "Create Sunshine 10% give back," $92.13 and a trailer of goods donated by Mark Langway for the Ed Foundation sale, $100 for an Eagle Bluff scholarship donated by the Wanamingo Lions Club, and a keyboard with headphones donated to the band program by John and Kim Lang. The resolution carried 5 to 0 by roll call.
Board members handled the package approvals together to expedite end-of-year activity planning; no opposition was recorded on the items presented.
