Council schedules workshop to review proposed police facility

City Administrator John Pechman told the Council the Police Commission subcommittee recently met with representatives from Lindstrom to discuss a proposed police facility and recommended a workshop to review feedback and next steps.
"[Staff] recommended holding a workshop to further discuss the proposal, including potential next steps, costs, and related considerations," Pechman reported. Council member Craig Meyer moved to hold the workshop on Monday, July 6 at 5:30 p.m.; Council member Marie Rivers seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.
The workshop will allow staff and the Council to review feedback from prior workshops and to consider cost estimates and options for the facility; no binding decisions were made at the June 23 meeting.
