The council on Oct. 13 authorized a $40,000 amendment to the preliminary engineering report for the Water Treatment Study to cover additional scope completed by Banner Associates.
Steve Pendergrass said the amount covers additional water treatment work presented at a special meeting three weeks earlier; council had requested items that were not included in the original scope and the amendment covers those items. The motion carried 6-0. The engineering amendment will be incorporated into the final report and any next-phase recommendations.
