On Oct. 13 the council approved an engineering agreement not to exceed $74,280 to complete work necessary to close out a Hazard Mitigation grant and the associated Rural Development grant reimbursements.
Steve Pendergrass explained the grant-funded work included a backup generator, two lift-station generators, a generator at well house No. 1 and replacement of a storm-damaged roof at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Pendergrass said the engineering agreement is required to finalize reimbursement through the grant program. The motion carried 6-0; no action was taken on the other engineering agreements presented.
